PCA Dues: $150 per student. Dues per students are set at $150 for the 2024/2025 school year. Please make sure you are paying into the class fund for the grade your child will be in during the 2024/2025 school year.
The PCA collects funds for (3) three separate functions/categories:
- Class Funds
- Membership Dues
- Teacher Appreciation
Class Funds: Of the total funds, $50 will go towards your child’s class. Class Funds are administered by volunteer parents (Grade Reps) in your child’s grade/class to sponsor/facilitate activities such as back to school play dates, family/student socials, class level holiday celebrations outside of school, class gifts for teachers. Additionally, this also supports activities at individual grade levels.
Membership Dues and Teacher Appreciation: Of the total dues, $100 will go towards these buckets:
- Membership Dues are used to cover operating expenses and costs associated with school-wide events. These events span the Welcome Back Social in the fall to the Great Big Community Event in the Spring. During the school year, the PCA also supports International Day, Lunar New Year, Middle School Dance, Pi Day, receptions before performances, just to name a few. The PCA also supports our Hawks Care program, which is when the PCA and Basis families have the opportunity to give back to the community.
- Teacher Appreciation Funds support school-Wide Teacher Appreciation to honor our faculty and staff to ensure all of your student's teachers & staff are recognized - this is done both monthly and throughout the month of May. Volunteer opportunities will be announced for those who would also like to assist in-person. Just some of the examples of BIM Teacher Appreciation initiatives include coffee/donuts, lunches, smoothie bars and snack stations. These events are meant to alleviate the need for parents to find gifts for all of your student’s teachers and staff.
